your data.

In short: Cut the Bill works entirely on your iPhone. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We never receive the details you enter about your home.
What you enter
To calculate savings, the app asks for your country or region, the type and size of your home, the number of people, how it is heated, and optionally your monthly bills and your own energy prices. Your plan, completed tips and achievements are saved as well.
This information is stored only on your device, in the app’s own storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. It is included in your device backups (iCloud or computer) in the same way as other app data, under Apple’s protection.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs, does not use device identifiers, and does not create a profile of you. We do not sell or share data, because we don’t have any.
Network access
All prices, tips and programme information ship inside the app. The app does not need an internet connection to work.
A future version may download updated price and programme data from a static file server. That download sends no personal information: it is the same file for everyone.
When you tap a source or programme link, it opens in your browser. The website you visit has its own privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Delete the app from your iPhone to remove all data it stored. You can also start again at any time with “Other country” on the home screen.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on our side. This applies under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws such as the CCPA.
Changes
If this policy changes, for example if a feature ever needs data to leave your device, we will update this page and the date above before that version is released.
